Beer Olympics, Fort Collins, CO

On a recent trip to Colorado, we had an opportunity to participate in a Beer Olympics competition.  Sandra is crazy competitive and I am always up for some fun so we entered representing Mexico!!  After a quick costume brainstorm, we were ready.
The events were posted...
And the brackets filled in...
The other countries being represented were the hosting country of Brazil,
South Africa,
Tokelau,
USA,
England,
Australia,
and Germany,
So now these Olympians were ready to compete...

First event, Ice Ice Baby
First event - sucking down an ice tray full of beer.  Apparently not everyone needs to breathe on this event.  I had to take a breath and didn't place.  Next up was chuggin a beer and completing a small puzzle.  Somehow Brazil completed their puzzle with left over pieces!!
The competition was starting to heat up.  Competitors started working on their strategies and sizing each other up.

Apparently rubbing an Alligator/Crocodile brings luck.  BTW, there is an easy way to tell the difference between an Alligator and a Crocodile.  One will see you later and the other will see you in awhile.
The Semi-Final events were Beer Ball and Slip and Flip.  Slip and Flip involved sliding down a slip and slide and chugging/flipping cups...Mexico got disqualified on this event.

It came down to USA vs Australia for the Finals...

The suspense was high, even Asher looked on...

It was Beer Pong at its finest, each team matching the other in a test of nerves...

But at the end, there could only be one winner...Australia!!!

Then it was award ceremonies...

It was obvious the real winners were friendship and fun!!

Thanks again to everyone for a wonderful time :)

We really enjoyed ourselves at this Olympic experience.  And a special thanks to our hosts.  Love from Texas (aka team Mexico)!!
